Mr. Graham Merrick has over 25 years experience in Facial and Oral Surgery. He has worked locally in Somerset and Devon for the past 15 years as a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, both as a specialist consultant at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton and Nuffield Health Taunton. He is dual qualified having studied both Medicine (1997) and Dentistry (1990) at Sheffield University. Mr Merrick is fully registered with the General Medical Council and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. After qualifying in medicine, he undertook 3 years of basic surgical training, before carrying out a further 5 years of specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (the surgery of the face, mouth and jaws). His speciality training focused on surgery of the head and neck, facial reconstruction and surgical management of skin cancers of the head and neck. In addition to his specialty training, he also undertook specialist fellowships in Cosmetic Facial Surgery in the United States and a Head and Neck Cancer surgery fellowship in Glasgow. In his private practice, Graham specialises in the surgical management of skin and dental conditions of the head, neck and face.
